These treasure tins are a new addition to my studio; I'm trying to create art out of more found objects not only because they're fun to make, but also because I'm aware of my environmental impact as a glass artist and these are upcycling at it's best. Each tin in this series is a one-of-a-kind item, but the base of each is a standard sized Altoid tin. (They measure roughly 2.375" wide x 3.75" long, and just under 1" deep, although the clay art and the feet make the height variable).
This tin includes a hot pink dichroic glass cabochon topping the pink comb and vintage glass rhinestones. There are also pale purple glass microbeads suspended in the clay body to look like bubbles, and a multi-hued glitter graces the whole tin. The feet are made from found glass beads.
This tin is on sale because the Altoid tin base has a rust spot that I didn't see before creating my art. The arrow in the third photo should point it out for you.
